Philippe Starck
Philippe Starck was born on January 18, 1949 in Paris, France and is considered one of fathers of modern design. As a young child, Starck was inspired by his father, who worked as an aircraft designer. Starck spent his childhood under his father's drawing boards, sawing, cutting, gluing, and sanding, dismantling bikes, motorcycles and other objects. In the 60s, Starck attended the Ecole Nissim de Camondo design and architecture school in Paris leading him to set up his first design company in 1968.Starck is undoubtedly on of the world's most revered living designers. For four decades, he has liberally spread his creativity and ideas across the design landscape including everything from toothbrushes, motorbikes, sanitary ware, restaurants and even the presidential Elysee Palace. He most renowned for creating the iconic Ghost Armor Arm Chair.
